From Priscilla
Priscilla Ryan with granddaughter Amanda and daughter Gina The idea for Country Stitches began years ago. It was always a dream of Priscilla to open a quilt shop. Well, the dream finally came true in February of 2004. Priscilla asked husband Bill, daughter Gina and granddaughter Amanda to come up with a name for the shop.
They thought about the area that the shop would be located in, and because the shop was going to sell fabric and sewing machines, stitches sounded good to all of them. Then they had to come up with the rest of the name. Since the shop was in the Mountains of Blue Ridge, which is real country and a beautiful place to live, they thought Country Stitches would cover all of it. The shop is keeping within the theme of country.
