CLUBS AND CLASSES

Here is a description of a few of our clubs and classes.  Call us at 706-632-3070 for more information on these and other clubs.

SCRAP FATS, Second Wednesday of the month from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The Number One Club - If you have not signed up for the Scrap Fats club you still have time until the 8th of January.  For those of you who don’t know what it is,  we give you two free fat quarters each month. One is a back ground and the other is a print.  You make a block of your choice; bring it back the next month and so on.   You will wind up with a quilt front OR you may make anything you like just as long as you use 75% of the fabric you receive.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH, Second Wednesday of the month from 10 a.m. -12 p.m.

The name of this years quilt is ” Rambling Rose”, by Maywood and the quilt was designed by Marty Mitchell.  The monthly kit gives you enough fabric to make three blocks, two log cabins and one main block.  The sample of the fabric and the first three blocks are hanging in the classroom.  This is a  beautiful quilt. The colors are just outstanding.  With your first kit you will receive patterns for block one, and the two different log cabin blocks plus the Marty Mitchell plastic templates set (A) and the log cabin template.  There are three different sets of templates in all to make this quilt.

We will be having a class in the afternoon every second Wednesday from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. so you can work on the quilt at the shop.  We still have room for two more friends to enjoy making this quilt and to learn some great new techniques.   The kit for this quilt includes all the fabric to make the 24-log cabin blocks, 12 main blocks, patterns and the 3 sets of templates for making the blocks. The block sizes are 12 ˝ x 12 ˝ inches.

The cost is $15.00 a month.

MYSTERY QUILT, Second Wednesday of the month from 10a.m.-12 p.m.

We will begin the mystery quilt in FEBRUARY.  I will be giving you one hint at our January meeting.

Cost is just $3.00 a month

CHARM SCHOOL, Fourth Monday of the month from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

In this club you will be using the 5 x 5 squares of your choice of fabric.  Each month we will be making a different project...wall hangings, table runners, purses, table toppers. There are so many different ideas.  It's hard to even guess what you can do with these little squares but we are going to try.  We have a sample of just one idea hanging in the classroom.

THIMBLEBERRIES QUILT CLUB MEETING INFORMATION

Welcome to our 2008 Lodge & Lakeside Thimbleberries Quilt Club!
This is our fifth year to Host a Quilt Club and we are thrilled that you will be joining us!

Our meeting dates, days and times will be:
Second Monday A.M. and P.M. and
Second Thursday A.M.

The Four Quarterly Patterns, Lakeland Pines, Bear Paw Runner, Forest Bloom, and Woodland Stars, and the Lodge & Lakeside Big Club Quilt are the basis for Thimbleberries 2008 Quilt Club. However, club is so much more.

Our monthly Quilt Club meetings are filled with lots of inspiration, education and fun, based on a theme that Lynette has designed exclusively for this Club.
In addition to the Big Club Quilt and the 4 Quarterly Patterns, you will receive 12 FREE Exclusive Extra Monthly Club Projects. Also, as a Quilt Club member you will receive a monthly Thimbleberries Newsletter written specifically with you in mind.
During Quilt Club meetings throughout the year, you will have the opportunity to preview any of the new books, patterns, kits and fabrics we have received from Thimbleberries! Our talented staff will present hands-on demos to teach you a tip or trick or two, which we hope will inspire you to try something new! We serve refreshments during each of our Club meetings. Included from time-to-time will be yummy recipes Lynette has shared with us. Everyone loves Show & Tell so we encourage you to ‘show-off’ your Thimbleberries projects and/or stories with all the members. At the conclusion of each meeting we will have door prizes with a grand door prize drawing at the end of the year for those who participated in Club. We hope you are inspired by the quilts, friendships and the unique character of our shop.

We look forward to seeing and inspiring you at each Quilt Club Meeting!
